Hello, I’m James—a results-driven Senior Leader and IT professional with a strong focus on innovation, customer-centricity, and uncompromising quality. Currently, I work in mining as part of a global operational performance team, where I analyse site compliance to mine plans, diagnose bottlenecks, and enhance equipment performance. I’m leveraging Generative AI to track and project mineral prices, improve mining safety, and bring data-driven insights to operational decisions.
In addition to my role, I’m actively part of an NLP Development Team, contributing to projects that advance our organization’s capabilities in natural language processing. These projects are focused on improving knowledge retrieval and automating insights, furthering our commitment to cutting-edge AI-driven solutions.
Outside of work, I’m working on a personal NLP project aimed at creating an innovative knowledge-sharing platform for teaching photography. This platform leverages NLP for content organization and interactive learning experiences, reflecting my passion for both technology and photography.
My career began as a Data Quality Engineer, instilling in me a commitment to quality that has shaped my approach throughout my career in IT. My experience spans data engineering, machine learning, and leadership in technology-driven environments, where I continuously seek to push boundaries and deliver impactful solutions.
In addition to my mining expertise, I bring over seven years of experience as a General Manager at RPData/CoreLogic, where I spearheaded advances in property data and analytics. My work continues with personal projects that include building a hedonic property index and automated valuation model for deeper insights into real estate markets. I am passionate about continuous learning and delivering solutions that translate into tangible results across industries.
